Dear Resident & Windward Lake Club members,
Our community enjoys many recreational activities that make Alpharetta and Windward Lake one of the most desirable places to live, work, retire, and play. Our private facility at Windward Lake Club is committed to being a part of this key driving factor of success!
With an excellent focus, we offer tennis, a new pickle-ball program, swimming, diving, and boating. Our club is proposing an indoor tennis and pickle-ball facility that will offer the benefit of year round access to playing the favorite of your two sports. It will give each member an opportunity to enjoy the social aspects of our club as well as exciting events. However, we need your help. After presenting several architectural renderings with options to meet the city’s zoning and building requirements, the City of Alpharetta has rejected all the proposals to build an indoor facility.
With approval of the Indoor Tennis Center, Windward Lake Club will be the perfect setting for one of the premier tennis, swim, and social clubs in the North Metro -Atlanta area. We have always been a staple in the community working with the Windward Home-Owners Association and Alpharetta Visitor Organization. Additionally, 80% of our membership base lives within a 5 mile radius of Windward Lake Club; having access to this indoor facility will be a huge benefit to everyone involved in our tennis program. The WLC Indoor Tennis Center will give members access to a world class, top notch facility to take part in tennis and pickleball. The WLC will offer a place to play tennis during inclement weather and will be the only option to play indoor tennis in Alpharetta. The indoor addition will establish the Windward Lake Community as one of the most sought after active and fit communities to live, work, and play.
We ask that you support our appeal by signing this petition so Windward Lake can become a better year round tennis club. Our privately owned club at Windward Lake is committed to contribute in every fashion to the residents of our community. We look forward to your support and hope that you can attend an appeals meeting on July 25th at Alpharetta City Hall 5:30pm.
